The past month has been pretty good, considering it was winter, for the beaches east of Melbourne . Warm sunny days, gentle offshores, & plenty of good quality banks to choose from. It was hard to get out of the water & grab the camera but i did the other day & here are some shots of brendon enjoying himself on his new Coreban 8'5"
Nice work on the Coreban Bnaccas,
We should do a Bass SUP, SUP Vic friendly month about east coast, weat coast???

Thanks Mike.. Shame you didn't get in any pics yourself.. If Pauls camera hadn't stuffed up out at Big Left last w/e he would have got some great shots of you ripping on your new Starboard.

I'm sure that Brendan would have surfed much better if he had been on an 8'3" and not an 8'5". (see Howbigisyourboard-itis thread)
But seriously, great surfing and photos.
DJ - Mike may have taken some time out from surfing to get behind the lens, but he did it still in his wettie and was straight back out there again. From memory, I think he had at least six hours surfing that day.
I think the bank Brendan was surfing was hideously crowded that day - eight surfers in total! We moved down the beach a bit later and had a left to ourselves. Aaaah, Melbourne in mid-winter, the place to be.
Missed this thread, thanks Keysy for taking the time to take some happy snaps!
We have had some great sessions this winter.
It has been more crowded this winter but still nothing to winge about. Went up to the Goldy
a couple months ago to enjoy some warm water but after that trip I'm happy again to put on a
wettie and get quality waves with only 6 or so in the water.
Had a good midweeker at Bells last week for 3 hours, 3ft and maybe 5 or 6 out.
Where are people surfing this Wednesday and Thursday??
Phil, sounds like a good idea, even just a get together either here or there.
