We know you have all been counting down the days till our next event, and it is here.
So Its time again to get out have fun and get some surf heats happening. With the waters warming up it is the best time of the year. Unless you barrack for the Geelong Cats.
When - Sunday the 16th of September at Ocean Grove Main Beach near the amenities block at the top of the Surfboat ramp.
Time- We will have an 8:00 am meet up for an 8:30 am start.
We will be running a fun surf comp again, and if the predictions stay true we will have some fun waves.
We are also stocked to have another lucky dip prize, you will have to be in it to win it. But its a promise it will be another epic prize.
Please Note – all crew competing must be 2012 financial members on the day.
We have just had some great news. After the comp we will Have Fanatic down to demo some wave boards and then we can move into the river to see there race stuff goes.
So if your keen for a wave and try some new boards, Bass Sup Comp will be the place to be.
2 days to go and where looking great. With an 11:30am High tide and some fun 3 foot waves this is looking like our best surf comp yet.
Portland? 'Similar' to Ocean Grove.
Here's another forecast. Comparable to above.

It was a great day.
Driving down I knew I was in Geelong when I saw this car.. .. (Making my stick family sticker)
Terrific day for the Bass Sup, thanks go to the Lummers, Kev, Rich and Matty for all the hard work in getting the event organized
Nice photo pgc!
Demo day at Ocean Grove.
Here's a close look at how they do that duel thickness deck pad.
Love that new fin.
Love the look of that pintail 14.
Hmmmmm.. Wax on the deck of the board in front of the deck pad.. I heard the new boards will have a longer deck pad so you can stand more forward if you want to without the need for wax.
I had my fat bike there and went for a cruise up the beach before we all went around to the river to demo some flat water boards.
New shape 14 vs the old 14 behind it with the red paint sanded off.
Looks even better sitting on the water.. Check out the rocker.
It felt great to paddle.. Slightly more stable than the 14' Jav .. It had a quick initial tip like the Jav but the secondary stability felt better.. I still think the Jav is slightly quicker in dead flat water but throw in some chop and bumps and I'm sure this new Fanatic would shine.
I then spotted something yellow on the beach that made me go.. Oooh.. Please can I paddle that.
That MC Jav should come with a sand bag to rest on the board in case you want to leave it on the beach.. Just in case a slight gust of wind comes along.. It's soooooo light... and so nice to paddle even if it is the same shape as the old Jav.
