Pity it didnt quite live up to the hype, and went onshore a bit earlier than expected!

I took a drive to one of the best kept secret spots in Perth and was very surprised to find the lack of SUPs in the water, was I in the wrong spot????

Not that I was complaining, got more than my fair share of waves. It was the first time Ive taken the trip and was happy to find the fact a comp was on is no reason not to paddle out. Even better was the fact a party wave was not frowned apon. I got into the swing of it before long and made my self at home.

Just thought I better thank Waveslave for the visa to enter his territory. Cheers...

I tried out a new spot and had a wave all to myself yesterday! Tide was a little high but its got potential. Got spooky all on my lonesome though!!!! Felt like my Exmouth downwinder all over again. Was even talking to myself. (crazy alert eh!)

So where the hell was everyone! Checked a few places but not a paddler to be seen anywhere!!!!! All I wanted was a bit of paddle company. Think I went the wrong direction. i even went to your holiday house to see if you were in Hilly! We def couldn't have paddled there. Massive.

Anyone up for a early Wednesday morning session somewhere?

Does anyone else see an issue here. As a SUP paddlers we stick out like and are highly visible. We need to give the sport a good image by showing a bit of consideration for other water users.

WHY paddle out into a comp and make an arse of yourself. You would be posting a long angry post if a other surfers did the same at a SUP comp.

If that not bad enough you justify dropping in on people as a PARTY WAVE. Its not a party wave its just dropping in.

Or how about instead of making us all extremely jealous and getting uncrowded waves during the week you get jobs! Especially you Belly, not only are you not working but buying new boards as well, you make me sick. Alternatively you could all buy a bunch of tv airtime, help me get budget and then i can come join you.

Perhaps you should be selling airtime and not on the breeze
I'd love to get a mid week session in, but us teachers have it tough, 12 weeks a year holidays is not enough.

Yep, count me in for Wed, day off....just let me know where you are thinking of heading to.

May be able to sneak one in Tuesday afternoon. Finish school late though so might miss the boat. What time is sunset these days?

Got to get in as much water time as I can before I sell my board. Don't know when Ill get my next one so might have withdrawals.

You cant sell your board thats just not on and coming into winter aswell.

I have no plans for where to surf wed yet but was just stoked at the idea of someone else to SUP with.. I like going by my self but always better when there is someone else to chat with between sets...
Have you got any ideas on where for wed??

Oh and in reply to your post on the other trend i have paddled Mullaz once i used to bodyboard there lots as a lil tacker.. Have only been SUPing for about 8months so looking forward to maybe getting waves there this winter... I normally SUP north of the marina to burns there is some really nice breaks on there day along that strech..

Ha ha. Small wave hate eh Hilly!!!!

Mulla's rarely has good banks anyway. I haven't had a chance to get out at those other spots yet..... Have been wondering, blast from the past! Haven't surfed there since I was learning in high school. Used to get smashed on the reef because I couldn't duck-dive my oversize, yellow stained, crappy first surfboard properly. I loved that board. Hot Brewz.

Might see what the forecast looks like before I make my mind up. Greenie is good at making calls. He he. Winner last time.

If the forecast doesnt come true then we have a backup plan.
Hilly might be joining us? Try and hook up with Hilly Rez. He might be able to help with transport?
Laurie might be coming too. Im just waiting for him to reply.

Just to clear things up. There was a comp on, but as there were about 4 take off spots along the break i stayed well clear of the guys in rashies.

What did you think I was out there burning crew trying to run a comp? I do have a bit better form than that.

For the record, I didnt actually fade anyone. I had the paddle power to get plenty of my own waves.

I was on 8'5 Starboard pocket rocket for the guy that asked.

Yeah, a purple one with pink ponies on it .

Someone was SUPing at Trigg the other day. A slightly "portly" gentleman as they say, with a full brimmed hat and booties. He was taking off on some ugly closeouts. Bit pointless, but there weren't any banks where he was. I was watching hoping he'd get smashed for a laugh but he didn't so I stopped watching after two waves. His mate was a bit smarter, just paddling along out the back not going for any waves.
