Good choice, Congrats. The board surfs well especially for people like myself in the 90kg+ club. I have had it out in big and small and it performs well. You may want to keep it instead of upgrade as it is a good option on windy days in summer when there is a bit of chop. On the sweeter days take out the hokua. For that matter you will find the 9'6" hokua surfs really well (again for the heavier species). Rail to rail it performs. You will also find it a faster board then the mana's to clear a section.

Enjoy your new sport as you have shown probably the largest pashion for it for a pre board owner.

Have fun BP,

The 9'5 mana will serve you well both in the surf and on the flat.

Rip it up.

Pics please

Just got in from a 2 1/2 hour flat water paddle with boarder paul. Amazingly glassy with no wind and a view of the snow on the mountains.

I think the 9' 5 Mana will really suit him. Paddled about 5km and then took him out the Estuary river mouth to try and get a couple of little waves and almost lost him in the tidal rip. I did witness him catch a wave lying down though so I guess he popped his cherry at last! I believe he has pics to prove we really did go out so you will all here from him soon.

Yep, was fun even if standupper was trying to kill me.

Naish is stable, Hard to track straight sometimes but i also felt the 190 litres was a lot for me vs the 135 of andrews starboard 9x30

But what a great time, I hope to head out tuesday for a wave

lieing down, I did try to get up honest, But between the wash and the tide i almost felt like i had a few to many.

Lovin it

190L won't be too much when you actually get out into waves

and 9'5 is a pretty short board for a medium weight total beginner.

You'll love it. Just stick with it and stop looking at other boards!
