Got some epic waves in Bali last week thanks to the big front that went past WA!!

Did two boat trips with an awesome guy called Leo, and can thoroughly recommend the day trips he offers.
He get's you into the best waves, on the best winds and tides and can avoid the crowds (most times )

We surfed four waves on the first day starting with a secret spot near Sarangan Harbour. great warm up wave to start at over head and fun by ourselves
Then made our way around the Bukit to Belangan. Quite crowded but cranking with a very spread out take off zone!!
Couple of 200m head and a half rides were had. Then next stop Impossibles!! Couple of bombs here but started to get a bit sketchy on the low tide so we finished up with a short board session at Ulu's to finish off!!
Big smiles all round, and finished off with cold Bintangs on the return trip!! (apologies for the facial expressions in the photos)

The second day trip was to Nusa Lembongan and we took wives and family!! Cant rave enough about the day, surfing supping and snorkelling!!

Leo organises photographers(including water shots)for the day if you like and they are two of the nicest people you will ever meet! (Thanks Jen & Miguel) www.bali-surfing.com/ Couple of shots from Lembongan!

Wessy did you do the drift snorkeling round the otherside of Lembongan? Some of the best snorkeling I've ever done, just magic.
Tide was also a bit low when we went so the poles for the seaweed farms were sticking up right in the take off zone!

cheers,

Rob

Hey Jaggerlee, check out the link to the website. Www.bali-surfing.com as Leo runs all types of tours by road and boat.
It depends on how many people you have but he can also match you with like minded groups if need be.
Our trip to Nusa Lembongan was $100 per person including skin diving gear for the whole day.
To book the whole boat on a private charter for the day is about $500 for the day so between four of you about the same.
The photographers are awesome and Miguel will be shooting from the water with you all day, and his gorgeous partner Jeni shooting from the boat and they charge about $200 for the day, and hand you a disc at the end of the day with about 500 photos on yours to keep!!
Email Leo he is an awesome guy and will sort you a day to remember. Hope this helps.

Hey Wezzy, Awesome photo's... looks like you had a blast! I'm assuming those paddlers might have politely asked you to SUPOFF prompting the Hulk Hogan war cry in response? Whatever the case that HUCKA stance goes straight to the poolroom

Sure beats fighting the traffic mate.....and if one spot is no good, shoot to the next and jump off the boat into the line up!!

Thanks Gordo!! I was actually first out at this spot and taking off about 50m inside them...so they were actually unbelievably polite!! It was a pretty fast breaking wave and I didn't make all of them, so maybe my Hucka stance and war cry was just my way of hiding how much I was ****ting myself!!
