Just to make it easy for all.
There are only 3 companies today that rent SUP boards:
- Us in Sanur that have full fleet for rent of Jimmy Lewis Hawaii boards.
- Wave Hunter in Jimbaran that rent Wave Hunter boards.
- Rip Curl in Sanur that rent Starboard.
Bye Jankie

I rented off Jankie last year and the Jimmy Lewis Kwad was great.Heaps easier than carting SUPs and paying excess,he'll pick up and drop at your hotel.I'd probably take my own paddle next time.

Yes - Jankie provides a great service in Bali and will also tell you the best uncrowded spot to hit

Jankie got me hooked a couple of years ago after a great seshion on a quad

Hi again Jankie, I'll be heading over in 10 weeks and plan on renting from you (staying in Sanur also). Too early to book something now? Obviously going to be weather dependant as to which days I guess as I'd only be looking at a few days here and there depending on what the family is doing. Do you take groups out, might be a good chance to see some other parts and surf with like minded people instead of myself which is the norm

....Sorry for the hijack momasfolly

What sort of paddles do you supply?

Currently using a KeNalu Wiki and would prefer not to bring it but also have issue with stiff shafts and shoulders/Tennis elbow

We've hired off Jankie a couple of times, out of Sanur. Faultless service, very convenient and a great shop to boot. SUPing off Shipwreck is great, a short stroll from his cache of JL boards.

Thanks to everyone for the nice words, we try our best!
We use Jimmy Lewis full fiberglass paddle (design is Kanaha from Quick Blade), they are quite soft and not everyone like them BUT very strong and flexible!
Good for old man with sore shoulders and elbows....

We go out almost every morning but with time passing we are getting more lazy so pretty much only SUP around the Southern part of Sanur Reef.

Book a bit in advance if you want a certain board! We have plenty but one per size.
See ya.
Bye Jankie

I am sitting at the airport in Bali now just about to fly home, I took my own SUP over and also my KeNalu wiki paddle.
I took the blade off and put it in my carry on and slid the shaft inside a piece of 25mm irrigation PVC pipe (or it may have been 32) the kenalu fits in snugly and I strapped that to my board on top of my deck grip and slid the lot in a board bag.
The paddle was fine but there was a few little dings in my SUP and a what looks like an exhaust pipe sized hole in my short board bag.
I had checked that there was hair dryers at my accommodation when I booked.

$25 each way on Air Asia for 20kg sporting goods, my 9'2 stun gun and 6'4 short board came up at exactly 20kg.

I got out most days around Sanur and Serangan, and did a few trips to Ulu etc on my motorbike with my short board on other days, was pretty flat today though.

Yep that would have been me T one, I was on the blue stun gun.

This is how I package it up with the KeNalu paddle broken down and slid into the 25mm pvc.
I scored a couple of the bits that the NSP SUP's come packaged in from the Surf Boardroom for the nose and tail and pack some clothes, rashy etc along the rails.

I had holidays booked in July/August for a Mentawais trip that has fallen through so I may head back again then, but will be staying up the coast on the other side.

I have no qualms about taking it over again but for the original poster if you are only looking to paddle a few days Jankie is the man to see for hire, shame there is no one in Legian area.

Another vote for Jankie here - friendly and helpful service all the way!

Hired a board and paddle for a week in Sanur . . . surfed my shortboard all morning and the SUP all afternoon!

Also kept the kids busy in front of the hotel!!
