My Olds live in Cannonvale (Airley Beach) and they are one of the closest houses to the water.
The direction the cyclone is currently tracking it is heading about 6ft to 8ft right of
their balcony and front door.

I spoke to Dad earlier and he just made another 6 litres of rum, bought a case of coke
and is going to just sit it out. Mum bought some batteries for the old transister radio.

Oh...and they brought the pot plants in of the balcony just to be safe!

Stay safe everyone up that way!

The last one that went through trashed 60 boats. Some ended up in parks and wrapped
around trees 50m to 200m from the shoreline. At least this time the tides aren't as high
so the storm surge shouldn't be a bad. Fingers crossed!
