A couple of paddlers have asked about my Bluetooth headphones and I had been meaning to post details.
I got these at the end of last year to pair to my iphone and in particular to the 'cyclemeter' App. Awhile ago I posted details about this handy App for SUP training that logs all your sessions - distance, heart rate, speed, zones, etc, but it also allows you to set announcement intervals - every 5mins or 1km. I find this really handy at training as I can listen to my music and get a voice over on average speed/pace, average heart rate and distance left in the session (or what you wish to be updated on). It is perfect for interval work, as you program the work and rest breaks in the night before and press start and follow the prompts! - no starting and stopping watches or trying to see your watch as you swap hands paddling.
The headphones work perfectly. They are rated as "water resistance", but I have had them wet a couple of times with no problem (they never get submerged in your ears anyway). The sound quality is surprisingly good, a little loss of bass - which you would expect for a Blue tooth headphone set. After nearly a year of constant use, they are reliable as well. You charge them via a USB cable and they remained charged for 3-4 sessions. The buttons are easy to use and the head set is reasonably comfortable to wear. At $70 they are very reasonably priced for what they are.

thats pretty cool. Just one thing, lack of bass has nothing to do with bluetooth IMO. Just the physical restrictions of the headphones themselves.
