Thumbs Up

Now the summer flat spell is here I thought it was a good time to invest in a Boardfisher Safari Stowaway, this is my Fanatic Fly race with the BoardFisher setup on it, probably not the most ideal SUP board ever made for fishing but given this board delaminated on me last year and has been sitting gathering dust it seemed a good idea to get it up and running for something.

I must admit I was dubious as to the quality of the BoardFisher when I ordered it but was highly impressed when I assembled it, its a really good piece of kit IMO, and although I know some people like to build these kinds of things themselves you could definitely do a lot worse than basing your DIY plans around one of these, so far I'm very happy with how it performs holding all the gear, the only thing I have fiddled with is reinforcing the 3m plastic stick on anchor points with duct tape.

So far I've managed to catch a haul of blackfish, kingys, snapper, bream, flathead and a large mud crab at places like Terrigal Haven, Brisbane Water, Patonga and Erina creek.
