Yep, SPSC is on the same day (Sunday 12 Dec) at Long Reef. I reckon you should go to the Bondi event Pete - give someone else a crack at the SPSC title!

mm well that is where my hesitation lays :) Will be at the comp though, then will probably shoot down to Bondi after. Probably will be surfing like a dog with a tick on sunday anyway, been out with a bad back for the last 8 days.

It would be good to see a big turn out for this. The organisers have put in a massive effort to arrange one of the few ocean paddles this side of the harbour bridge. There are plenty of north side events but very few in the city beaches so please do your best to get there so it can become an annual fixture .

Sorry, would love to participate, but every Sunday's a work day for me. Same goes for why I can't go to SPSC comps. They are a great crew, and I know my surfing and paddling would improve by being part of such events. I hope it goes well.

Big Pete Meyer won the short course and the long course and from the sounds of it when I spoke to him after the race he was more than ready for a large one at the Icebergs.

Not 100% on the minor places but it sounded like a great day.
