I've had a week off and I've been following the forum as usual and clicking on topics ever hour or so. DJ's post about the sign was good, and I guess the red thumb post was an extension of that. Really enjoyed the footage of that guy back in the old country getting smashed, the best surf footage yet was a letdown, New Game was a dud (5 minutes of my life I'll never get back).

Today there's a new topic titled "time for more fun" which seems to be about how a forum member got his name - probably great for Doggie but not that interesting to me. I can't help thinking, as I press refresh - what the hell am I doing with my life reading this.

Being a reasonably active member for over two years I think we are going through another lul. I'm sure it will arc up again.

Can someone please find it in their heart to post something that they want to vent about.

No.

But I've been going through my sons computer and I saw a site he's been frequenting. It's called ******** some very interesting videos are there. I'm sure I'd be sacked if I looked at them while at work. I'll study what he's been watching for a while and decide if I should take his computer away.

I just saw the homepage and I think he's up to no good. I have a good friend with four kids who isn't that financially well off and I think his kids could make better use of my sons imac.

Here is a pic of my friends house I took yesterday:

Is this good or bad parenting?

Hey Oliver
Do you want to buy a kayak, I have had one in the buy and sell for ages and no one wants it. It was hand made by myself, I need to sell it so I can get myself a new SUP.

Can you help
Cheers Scott

Hey Oliver
Give me another six hours and two dozen Bourbon Cokes in shorts and I could probably fill you in on my latest take on the 'Waterman' problem!
Cheers

Beautiful work of art there Scott. If I could make something like that I'd be reluctant to part with it.

And yes Sparx I want to read the second part to your waterman story. It needs to be told - trust me.

Is political correctness causing the problem? What makes it hard to really stir the pot is the lack of anonymity for posters. If you say something bad about someone you may have to surf with them tomorrow. People are not quite so tough face to face, I know I'm not!

Maybe an East Vs West thing may work where all 3000 members on the east coast rag the 10 in the west. Seems uneven but the site owner may make up for numbers.

I for one agree with you Oliver, I like to check those other sites as well! Hahahaha.

LOL.

I found a website yesterday that made me happy for around 10 minutes, then I pressed refresh again on seabreeze:

happychairishappy.com/

Kind of unbelievable, but now when I look at inane objects they are all smiling back at me.

Lucky you're not a kiter too then-that forum gets really scary over winter-just a natural facet of winter/plateaus etc. it'll all spark up again soon enough-and Oliver-what are you contributing to make the forum more 'interesting'?

He thinks there's a core bunch of guys who "own" the forum, possibly doa heap of pimping, and nobody else gets a look in.

There's probably some truth in that but it's not particularly relevant. This forum is small enough to filter out the pimping and it's all so benign that it hardly matters.
