Roger, I think its the GoPro Wide camera. Google it. Some surf/sail stores are starting to stock them now.
Good job Casso, I think I liked that better than day one! Looking forward to tonight!
If you were having problems accessing last night's "Little River" in high definition, then try this version:
Thanks fellas, can see one of these cameras being added to my Birthday list - just in time for some spring paddling - then everyone can be amused not just my kids
Another breakfast showreel - keep em coming.
And here is tonight's episode:
"Carbon Copy" (G)
As the tide drops to its afternoon low, Casso heads back to the point to score some more of those long peelers. Just like Groundhog day, the conditions at A-Bay are the same as yesterday and the waves are just as much fun.
Starring: Casso, Woody, Mr Methane, Silverchair.
Duration: 4 mins 43 secs
Very cool stuff Casso, looking forward to the next few. Also can't wait to see the Special Feature's section with blooper, and wipe out reels
Here we have movie number four. I really like this one ...
" The Tiger " (MA 15+)
Due to a slight decrease in swell, Casso dusts off his 11 footer (The Tiger) and hits the point at A-Bay. Anticipating some gentle peelers so he can work on his traditional longboarding moves - Casso is greeted with exceptionally long rides which are perfect for his chosen equipment and surf style.
Starring: Casso, The Tiger, Mr Methane, Ben Lee.
Duration: 3 mins 20 secs
Started the day of perfectyl - sausage sarnie, mug of tea and watching some great footage again.
Loving your work Casso.
love the Tiger, love em all actually, any pics of the paddlecam mount would be helpfull.cheers Ian
Ah just re read your post so you just use suction on the paddle face?i thought you may have something that attached to the shaft.
Here is anothery ...
Pretty amazing, this one - the longest wave I've ever caught ... and I got it camera.
"Single" (PG)
Quite a long movie at a bit over three minutes, yet just a single wave! No special effects or hidden edits - one take, one wave. A little boring but intriguing none-the-less.
Starring: Casso, The Tiger, Mr Methane, Alex Lloyd.
Duration: 3 mins 06 secs
Goodonya Casso, dont give up the secret spot, but its been cranking the last couple of days,Robbo
a bloody legend Casso.Ive order a coral sea cyclone for the end of Feb(when my 4x weeks annual hols start)so let me know when ya coming through and we'll go rip the lips off a few hey?Robbo
1. How long does it take to paddle back to the take off spot after a 3 minute ride?
(hitchhike perhaps)
2. Roger. As I put my boardies and rashie on, my thoughts are with you.
Thanks Andrew..
Make sure you bring that camera to the next Mambo and I'll take you to this really cool secret spot that's nearby.
Great job with the vids.. and always great music.. Have you had any problems yet with the GoPro?
DJ
Casso, any chance you can let a Vico brother in on the location ,would only get there once in a blue moon. Email me i wont tell anyone honest !
Glad to hear you're enjoying the festival so far. Thanks for all the positive critiques.
Here's the sixth instalment ...
"Sunrise" (G)
Looking to beat the crowds and catch the low tide, Casso gets up at 5:30am and is presented with a beautiful sunrise and few fun waves to boot.
Starring: Casso, Woody, Mr Methane, Pete Murray.
Duration: 4 mins 02 secs
Here's number seven ...
"Alone" (MA 15+)
All alone for the early session at A-Bay. It gets a little creepy surfing by yourself at dawn, in deep, dark water, with lots of fish, stingrays, turtles and who knows what else. Don't fall off and your chances of getting home in one piece are greatly increased - so going by Casso's dry-hair-bed-head until the last wave of the session, indicates his appreciation for this theory.
Starring: Casso, Woody, Mr Methane, Midnight Oil.
Duration: 4 mins 03 secs
Casso,I've sat here each night enjoying your daily movies, without posting a reply This one had it all, fine SUPing fantastic backdrop/lighting and the sound track was perfect for the session light and colours amazing
