For those who think the race is a JOKE, there is always the trophy for Best dressed!
THE BALMORAL PADDLE SURF BEACH TO BAR SUP OFF
On Saturday morning from 9am the BALMORAL PADDLE SURF BEACH 2 BAR TAG TEAM SUP OFF will be held.
Last year saw what has been described as the first and largest official SUP off ever to be held in Australia. This is a tag team event where teams of four race along a course from the Main Beach to the Bar and back.
At the Bar racers will have to drink a short black coffee courtesy of the Bar Beach Kiosk before tagging the next paddler.
The first team across the finish line at Main Beach will win the trophy along with humungous accolades from their peers. They will be declared kings and /or queens of the BPSB2BSO and will enter Australian Suplore.
Just to make it fair we will award prizes for the best dressed and worst dressed and any category the panel of judges can dream up. This provides a good opportunity for competitors to bribe the judges into awarding their suggested category a prize.
Teams for the SUP off need to be entered by 8:30am Saturday
Teams are to assemble at Main Beach at 8:45am
So train hard, paddle hard and hone your State of Origin sledging!

Hey AA,
This race was a total hoot last year the vibe was all time.
Just seeing Casso and DJ have to skull short blacks and spin out was worth it.
The twist at the end was great as it added some contraversy that is still being discussed over the bar from time to time and will be for years.
Bring it on.
