So here it is, my little bro made me a new SUP for Christmas. I've only been doing this sport since September ( including 10 weeks out recovering from a leg op) but already I was keener for something smaller than my 10' Jimmy Lewis.
Didn't want to go quite as small as what Dan's on, but definately wanted something shorter and ultimately better perfoming.
We settled on 9'0 x 28.5.
Here she is, this thing rips!
Haha...didn't even think of that, sorry but there's more to life than footy! Russell Crow doesn't have dibs on any colour schemes either.
Not super light, from memory around 8 kilos. I asked Dan to put on an extra layer of glass on the bottom as I wanted it tougher than his 8'10" - he actually put an extra layer of glass round the whole thing, so it's not super super light but it is super tough!
Love it. You'll be ripping on that Simon. 8kgs for a 9'0" is a great weight - the beauty of hand glassed boards.
How thick? The board, not your brother.
casso im about a 33inch waist
the boards around 41/2 inches but has a low rail. its a little over weight but built to last, i recon he will be wanting a sub 6kg light weight soon enough!
