"THE OAKLEY SUNGLASSES BOARD AND PET RACE

Love it! What an awesome idea!
I'm sure you'll get a solid turn out!!
Not sure about any of the races especially after selling the 12' Glide but I do have a fashion consultant working on my Australia Day themed costume so watch out for that one.
Hey Guys,
We have a crew coming up from the coast.
There is gonna be a Snow Storm on the day with Yoda and Adam on the nano technology Airwave Boards!
Lummers will be there for sure!
Rich, Kristi and I + 1 will be in the Relay for sure!
I also believe Revvin Kevin + Family, Tanya and friends will be coming.
We are trying to teach our new dog Elly to stand on a sup.
We will be giving the event a big push next weekend at the OG Festival on Sunday so hopefully will raise a few others.

I have a pet slug that I can sticky tape to the deck of my board.. (not in the standing area)..
Just wondering how you will start the big race (3 klm).. water start or beach start?
DJ
It's not long to go now!
I hope everyone is gearing up for a fantastic day at the beach!
As Phil mentioned we will be playing Triple J's Hottest 100 songs on the day
so don't forget to go to the triple j website and vote for your favourite song of 2009!
Let's get the party started!!
Here ya go.. This is what they hope the course will look like.
The SupBus guys advise people to get there between 9-9.30am so things can start at 10am sharp.

Conditions will be absolutely perfect! Forecast is 34 degrees so should be nice and warm early. I'm guessing at this
stage there will be no wind at all early with the seabreeze kicking in after lunch.
I will be paddling my new board which will be kept under wraps (winged keel style) until race day!
There's been a last minute change in the course.. Here's the new one.
I paddled it today with my GPS and it was 3.15 kms long and it took me 27.19 minutes to paddle it...
DJ
No Cammo, interstate entries will be refused.
Hey SUP Bus guys, just to clear this up, can you paddle a bigger board than 12'6" in
the main race but just not be eligible for the cash?? I know a few people are questioning
this.
Why are interstae entries refused???
Wouldnt we encourage anyone who wants to attend?
I thought Aussie Wahine etc were coming down specifically to race???
It would have been fantastic to see Jacko, Alison and Sue etc in action up against Lummers, BWDave etc! Best to learn from the best i say.
Did I miss something?
