Not sure about any of the races especially after selling the 12' Glide but I do have a fashion consultant working on my Australia Day themed costume so watch out for that one.

Hey Guys,

We have a crew coming up from the coast.

There is gonna be a Snow Storm on the day with Yoda and Adam on the nano technology Airwave Boards!

Lummers will be there for sure!

Rich, Kristi and I + 1 will be in the Relay for sure!

I also believe Revvin Kevin + Family, Tanya and friends will be coming.

We are trying to teach our new dog Elly to stand on a sup.

We will be giving the event a big push next weekend at the OG Festival on Sunday so hopefully will raise a few others.

Phill

I have a pet slug that I can sticky tape to the deck of my board.. (not in the standing area)..

Just wondering how you will start the big race (3 klm).. water start or beach start?

Hi DJ,
Probably a water start at this stage, really depends on the turn out.

Okay done - Lummers starts from the beach, everyone else from the water. Sounds like a fair race.

Dean.. I'll check with the guys to be sure but I think it will depend on the day..the wind and conditions etc.. but I think the plan is to go straight out off the beach.. around a buoy that's about 200 mtrs out.. around it 90deg and head left under the pier and up along St Kilda beach and around another buoy that's about 500 mtrs away (maybe more).. once around that buoy it's back and under the pier again.. around the same buoy that's about 200 mtrs off shore and back to the beach to the finish,

Something like that anyway.. You should be able to see who's first, second, third etc as paddlers go around the buoys.. and spectators can walk along the bike/walking track to cheer their friends on and watch the whole race.

It should be great.

For some reason, I thought Plan A was to go the other direction, ie towards Port Melbourne. As you say, I'm sure conditions will determine. Weather's looking like it's headed in the right direction.

Here ya go.. This is what they hope the course will look like.

The SupBus guys advise people to get there between 9-9.30am so things can start at 10am sharp.

Conditions will be absolutely perfect! Forecast is 34 degrees so should be nice and warm early. I'm guessing at this
stage there will be no wind at all early with the seabreeze kicking in after lunch.

I will be paddling my new board which will be kept under wraps (winged keel style) until race day!

We paddled this one this morning but didn't quite recognise the markers so came up short at 2.24km. Our time was 26.53, although there was a little time wasted in stopping and arguing over the correct route.

No Cammo, interstate entries will be refused.

Hey SUP Bus guys, just to clear this up, can you paddle a bigger board than 12'6" in
the main race but just not be eligible for the cash?? I know a few people are questioning
this.

Why are interstae entries refused???

Wouldnt we encourage anyone who wants to attend?

I thought Aussie Wahine etc were coming down specifically to race???

It would have been fantastic to see Jacko, Alison and Sue etc in action up against Lummers, BWDave etc! Best to learn from the best i say.

Did I miss something?

What makes you think that Phill?.. Maybe I missed something.

Sue and Danny are coming down from the Gold Coast to compete.. I'm sure that's ok.
