Dave does this not say that interstate entries will be refused??

I just checked with the SupBus guys and it is definatly open to all.. even Tasmanians.. Including all prizes and givaways.
We went to checkout the course today and its going to be a cracker!
DWdave, Camohosk, PTwoody (awesome car), Dj, Kristi and others took a casual paddle around the course and gave it a big thumbs up.
The best part about this event is you dont have to win the big race to be a big winner. The whole event is based on fun and just by signing up your in the running for a prize.
With the proceeds going to chartity everyone is a winer.

We got asked up to Melbourne today for a surprise and when we got there DJ presented Kristi with a new Kialoa Pipes. Huge Thanks to DJ for his continued support as I know he had input to what happened and Sam at Kialoa, its fantastic to see a company put thier support behind a young girl for a change and it is so much appreciated.
PT Woody tried Kristi's paddle today and was very impressed its very different with a slight scoop in the blade. DJ and I also pushed it pretty hard with this paddle. A full gear review will be done soon.
Nesha will be using a methane in the sprint and the pet race!

Great to see a few guys and girls down practising before the race! The Pipes Paddle looks great DJ - look at the smile on Kristi's face - it says it all!
Hi guys and girls,
Just a few last minute details for all attending the 3km Port Phillip Cup and Social Paddle on Australia Day, 26th of January 2010, 10am start.
The prizepool now stands at $15,000 - a huge thanks to Sunlover Holidays who yesterday announced an extra $5,000 worth of holidays to be given away. Accommodation packages to Daydream Island and Hamilton Island (each worth $1,000) and heaps of other resorts and Islands in Queensland to be won - too many to mention! Most will be given away randomly!
Also, thanks to Wade Vauiter who is donating a paddle and some fantastic merchandise - check out his impressive website at www.paddlers.com.au. And learn about all of the exciting races the boys at Outlaw racing are organising in the next few months!
There was a recent post that interstate competitors will not be eligible for the prizes - this is not true! It is a charity event to raise money for the Life Saving Club and Earthcare - everyone who turns up can win! Even the best dressed participant in the theme of Australia Day will win an Oakley Sunglass and Merchandise Pack worth $500.
Also, the top 5 placegetters of both sexes will win some amazing prices (paddles, oakley sunnies, camera's, boardies etc)- maximum board length 12'6, with the winner of the race to receive $1,000 cash and 3 nights accommodation on Daydream Island. To answer a previous question regarding the event, anyone can paddle a longer board if they choose, however they will leave with the social paddle group about 5 minutes after the 12'6 class departs - they will go into the draw to win any of the random prizes which are on offer and cannot win any of the top 5 prizes reserved for the 12'6 class.
Don't forget the SeaBreeze 100 metre 4 person team sprint race (both sexes represented) and the Kahuna 50 metre individual sprint!! The Uli Board women's clinic should break a record for the most number of female suppers on the water!
The Oakley Board and Pet Race is going to be big - at least 4 dogs, a budgie, a pet slug, and a goldfish in a small tank have confirmed their appearance! Thanks to the respective owners, should be a very funny race!
$10 entry goes directly to charity! And support the SUPVIC boys by buying a snag and a drink on the day! We need to support these guys, they do a great job!
See you there!

Just a reminder to everyone coming down.
Make sure you bring some change for the parking meter. The ideal parking is on Pier Road but it requires
a ticket and the parking attendents are Nazi's (not really nazi's but they are ruthless).
The other option is to drop your board/boards off and then move your car to the other side of Beach Rd, but
for the cash it's probably easier to just get a ticket.
See you all there!
p.s. I was joking about interstate paddlers if your talking about me Phil/Mick. Ooops, sorry!
