Not today you wouldnt have , wouldnt dream of going out their normally , but today would have been fine plenty of room.If i got told to paddle in on a day like today , my response would be short and sweet.

Geez that,s super crowded in my books. The spot I surf, any more then 5 people is crowded. I surf a very popular spot where I live, however when surfers rock up to the carpark and look through their binoculars to check the break out, If they see sup'ers or to many people (5-6) they drive of. as would I if I saw that many out. Most days I would surf the spot by myself in winter and with my supping mates 3 off.

guys surf in big swells. i haven't seen it supped, but the hellman i think could do it. it looks a big breaking area, so i reckon they would be in for a few work overs. piros and his crew like getting smashed and they have a boat. maybe they might have a crack at it one time
cheers

Yeah this was only a couple of weeks ago , it looked really wedgey and suckey , it looked like it just jacked up all of a sudden into a big tube and then petered out pretty quick.

A lot of us have wavesailied it, there used to be crew out there all the time. On a southerly you get just enough wind into D-bar to get out, or on the out going tide you throw your gear into the river and drift out with the tide, and hope for no nibbles. I have been out a few times with total wind drop, you end up drifting north past Pt Danger, next stop the spit... Been picked up by the Snapper clubbies in an IRB once or twice. Very sharky, the trawlers drop a lot of rubbish just out from here and a lot of sharks hang around the mouth.

I have surfed the left a few times about 10 years ago. Before the sand pumping jetty the sand used to build up a lot more. It even started breaking properly at about 4-5 feet. Some days it also had a right that was short and sharp on smaller swells closer to the tip of the end of the South wall. The left would be freight train for 2-300m.

Yes, felt a bit sharky, sometimes when the water was so clear very eerie. Haven't really surfed over there since the tracks have been improved and the jetty went in. We used to paddle across the river regularly. It was a great little escape at that time. D'bah 400 people, the other side 5. You just paddled to the beach on the other side and walked through the scrub tracks. A cool little adventure so close to home.
