Wondering if anyone has had similar problems of timber delamination (lifting) problems. I've had 4 PSH boards and loved them all, but the 9 11 definitely has some issues...I had a delam problem after about 6 mionths which was fixed and even tho the repair guy thought there might be more prob's I was hoping thsat was it, but
....sure enough a recent 2nd repair and now a larger delamination is appearing...so...any tips of what I should do? Thanks!
Looks like a warranty Lowers. If you can take it back to your dealer he can get the ball rolling.
Cheers AA
A delamination is where two glued parts become seperated, in these photos it looks like one part is gone completly, I hope you haven't ruined your chances of warranty as it could appear that the board just had an encounter.
That bottom image seems to show water damage in the veneer...not delam (or am I looking at it wrong?)
Outcome - Superb, the backup and follow through from PSH has been beyond what I coud have imagined and problems solved. Understandably, some of these boards do have issues, of the 4 PSH's I've had this was the only one that did and it's problems sat well inside 12 months....The best news for me is they have sorted 100% - My loved 9 11 will be replaced and it's one board that right now I suspect will be a lifetime keeper...I haven't seen too many others in the water or even seen reviews on them...but for the larger /taller surfer, it's a board I love...cheers to all who responed and helped!
Great outcome and great customer service. Service like this makes a difference in the long-term.
I had a similar problem once with a 7s surfboard and the Australian CEO from GSI (the makers of the 7s) came around, looked at the board and offered to replace it. I've had a few other boards since then and always make sure they are GSI boards as direct result of that experience.
