Tomorrow there might be a nice clean wave at Grove on the mid to high tide. Or you could paddle on the Barwon All Welcome!

I usually go by the graphs on the site - I find they are pretty good. Maybe there is a small bump for my glide at Big Left on the ultra low tide in the morning.

Ohhhhh sorry to rain on your parade. But as we all are dying to get out there, can't we please wait until Sunday night and see what the hell happens in this town - weather is updated by the minute here at the moment - five seasons in one day.

Tomorrow (Monday) is looking perfect for a great down-winder.

I'm thinking 10am at Sandy to do the car thing.. and start from St Kilda at 10.30 for the first run down to Sandy.

After lunch some of us might do another run.. A mega down-winder from Rickets Point to Frankstone..

Any West-coasters coming up..

DJ

Forecast for Sunday until midnight
Winds: East to southeasterly 10 to 15 knots tending east to northeasterly up to
20 knots during the afternoon. Seas: 0.5 to 1 metres. Local thunderstorms this
afternoon and evening with squalls above 35 knots possible.

I can't make it up. But are any west coasters interested in a down winder from North Shore to Limeburners ?? (Corio Bay). Just under 5km, so could do it twice if down wind conditions are good.

I was driving down to StKilda Beach with the Starboard Hero on the roof aiming for a quick paddle when the hail storm hit. Decided to resist the urge to SUP in the storm, but both board and car withstood the hail stones and not a single scratch or dent.

I have a dent free section down the center of my car where my 12' Glide was..

I can't believe my windows weren't smashed the hail was so big..

The sound was deafening.

Hopefully no damage to the Glide !

Imagine that ? Sheesh.

That weather down there looked insane......hopefully one of that when I'm there in a fortnight. Although, The Mana fits in the car !

How did it go today ? I did a 5km loop in Torquay, from Fisho's to Pt Danger, out to sea a little towards Barwon Heads, over towards the big sand dune, and back in.

It was a great paddle. 7 of us went down, Cammo, Paul, Cameron, Rosco, DJ, Alan and myself. I think we left pretty close to 11:00am from St Kilda. It was blowing about 20knotts - just enough to see a few white caps but just enough for all of us to get a bit of runner action. We met up at Green Point around 12:30 and then the storm hit so we got a bit of a taste of extreme downwinding action from there to Sandy - it was a lot of fun.

Did you get some good gusts down your way Simondo?

T'was a good one.. Once we got to Green Point the wind went ballistic.. 40-50 knots I reckon.. The run from there to Sandy was brilliant..

In that last shot, looks like Oliver is trying to locate the stragglers who got washed onto the rocks in the sudden wind change.
