Certainly arrived here today too - these take at 5pm just before dark.
The left doesn't break too often and it's a fun novelty when it does. The A frame is usually popular and the shot's don't do it justice but the fact that there is not one person out on it says it all. BIG sets.
Sorry for the poor quality - salt spray and sunset together don't mix.
I don't think it has an official name as it rarely breaks this big. There are 2 smaller breaks on the inside of the right which need good swell to break but they were unridable today. In fact this wave went unridden all day as its a lot further out than it looks and there was no where to access it as every where was closing out.
Although a few other big wave spots were working for the brave few.[}:)][}:)]
Whole Syd area was EPIC today-one of those amazing surf days.
Surfed 6-8 feet (that is 3-4+ o/head-to avoid confusion) perfection on the N Beaches-there'll be heaps of footage from this swell. Early Monday looking very interesting too-before the wind from the low gets into it.
