The good people at RPS kindly allowed us to take the brand new Fanatic 14 out for a test run. We ended up down at Barwon River with BASS SUP crew. Here's some video of this new red rocket being put through its paces.
Great job with the vid Paul.. Thanks to RPS and Fanatic for letting us borrow the board for a test run.. and also the Bass Strait Paddlers for inviting us down.
It's fast, it's light, it's stable.. and although it's a down-wind board it paddles flat water really well.. We all liked it..
DJ
The Fanatic 14 was quite stable in the stiff easterly and really went pretty hard with the wind behind it. Sorry DJ but everyone knows that red is faster than yellow
Will be great to see this board out on a down winder, that IS where I believe it will excel.
I still like the fanatic 12.6 for the flat
Thanks to Paul Harrington and DJ for bringing the 14 down to the BASSSUP Day on the Barwon for all to try it was a blast.

Really enjoyed that.
I looked at Sam Parker's 12'6 last week and the quality looked great too.
Thanks for sharing guys.
Hey, hey, Hey!!!! That's my board!!??
Didn't get to christen it, but I suppose that's the price you pay for slashing Japow and your new quiver rocks up the day before you leave,
Fortunately, I did get to trial the 12'6" and I just know that it fits me like a glove!
Kristie, nice to see you did my board proud
Hey Warwick.. Jump on a plane back for our down-winder tomorrow.. It's gunna be great.. 30+ knots North wind with clear blue sky..
You know that pole right outside the door to your shop.. well you should get it moved.. and that new little single concave in the nose will make the board go faster.
Just kidding..
DJ
Hey Warwick,
The rail shatters give it that vintage tie die look, the mud stains will eventually wear off, the crack in the nose was filled with solar res and can be resprayed. The extra water will give it more stability in big conditions all in all better than new
Phill
The price one pays!
Oh well, at least I know that it's been used by appreciative crew!
Yeah, that bloody pole out the front of the shop is a pain. Will try to rectify that upon my return.
