Hi Guys recently bought my first (2nd hand) 'Race ' board a Starboard 12' 6" x 27.5 Race, The leading edge of the fin (Starboard 23cm original) is a bit chewed I guess from running up the beach etc. Thinking of replacing it, I want to get more into touring & downwinders with this board in the UK.

The board seems to track side to side (away from my paddle side) depending which side I paddle on, would a different fin bigger/different aspect ratio improve this or do I just need to improve my paddle technique?

Does it make a difference how much you spend on fins they seem to range from $20 to megabucks.

Any advice appreciated
