I am the first person to ever SUP the Ord River (that I know of) in the remote East Kimberley of WA! This paddle was about my 6th ever SUP.
A 9km paddle, half of which is up stream against the flow and 18m of elevation. Average speed of just over 6.5kph. I plan to start training so I can paddle the entire 70km down the Ord from Lake Argyle In 11weeks time!

Check out the map, distance and details here on this link below

The picture doesn't do it justice as it was early in the morning and a very overcast day as it is the wet season.

Thanks to Darren at AKS Perth for the Hobie 12'6 and Jason at West Oz Kiteboarding for the Coreban Alpha Race 12'6

Heaps of small feshwater Johnson crocs up to 2.5metres but they are no bother, as they are not aggressive or territorial. No probs, I go for a paddle, jump in for a swim when it gets too hot :) Most the time there is not a single soul around, absolute nirvana paddling the glass as there is barely ever any wind in KNX.

mate just count your fingers and toes each time you get out of the water. I reckon it sounds like a cracker of a trip
