Moon setting on a cold Friday morning at Half Moon Bay.

Warwick pondering what he nearly paddled into in the dark.

Wonder if the Cerberus is going to get a makeover.

Saturday morning is going to be even colder.
Think I'll wear some gloves.

Soft Al. I've decided to leave the gloves, boots and wetsuit home this weekend. I'll be paddling in boardies.

Spoke to one of the HM clubbies yesterday and the same rig was there around 6 yrs ago for a salvage operation.

In order to try and save the 'Ol Girl from further degradation, someone thought it would be wise to remove the cannons and turf them overboard. "Whoops"! Only to then have to retreive them from the seafloor via this rig.

No idea what it's there for now though.

Dead calm and glassy off Rickett's this morning, on the full moon the tide was out further than I've ever seen it (a little sketchy picking through the reef on the way in & out!). Nice.

They must of worked quickly because the rig was gone this morning.

This is the lowest I've seen the tide here.

The temperature was literally freezing this morning.
I had to pour water on the windscreen to get the ice off.
The gloves came in handy and so did the Lavacore socks inside the booties.

well done al and rps for getting out there in 1 or 2 degrees, in the time I have been living in HMB never seen the tide so low, I wonder why its so low, in the week David Jones said their profit downgrade was single handedly caused by the talk of the carbon tax, I suspect the same thing has happened with the tide being so low? but I may be wrong I am not a CEO
