My third downwinder with the melb crew...just seems to be more fun each time. Can't stress enough what a great and friendly bunch of guys and girls this group are. Plenty of advice always helps too. I kinda strayed off a bit out to sea and didnt get too much footage of everyone...ill have to stay closer on the next one. Thanks guys
great vid abdillam .
the channels in the deck of the ace look like at bit of a hassle compared to the flat naish . have you try the naish to compare ?
Thanks SandS, it was an awesome paddle. Basically the ace is my first sup so I can't compare to other boards. Don't really know any different. Feel I'm getting more relaxed on the ace as I paddle more and more...it is a wild ride though. You can never really trully relax. PT woody once described the ride on an ace to me as "...like riding a wild horse, it's exciting, it's fast and furious and you are always on the edge. A board like a naish glide or similar is more of a zen like experience". After a few months on the ace I totally agree with him.
Cheers
DJ I did feel like I was strapped to a rocket at times...such a rush being on the edge and a little out of control. The acceleration down some of those waves blew my mind. I want more...
Looking at others paddling in both our vids makes me wonder if my paddle is too short. Any thoughts out there appreciated...
Cheers
