Committee will be finalized within a few days we already have main positions filled....We are able to announce our home venue. Its at Gold Coast Eagles Football club on the Broadwater 53 - 55 Brighton Parade in James Overall Park. Its a fantastic little club right on the water with all the facilities and a bar.How lucky are we …..We are so grateful to the EAGLES club and feel we will both benefit with the crossover training and membership. We have been given the go ahead to apply to council for our shed for storage so we are thrilled
We are on the home stretch now...... we have to simply tie up the final loose ends and we will have a sign on day. We might also have some amazing news regarding our own outrigger club in collaboration.....Our idea of starting a paddler aquatic centre is coming sooner than later. Watch this space.......Looking at doing a bridge to bridge event and getting some type of events on a regular basis ......Very happy with all the progress and still want lots of feedback. Even if you belong to another club send us your thoughts on what sort of events and comps you would like to see. Thoughts and ideas have been very welcome and much appreciated.
It will be interesting to see if you get permission for an AOCRA outrigger club. From my understanding the 2 existing broad water clubs of Surfers and Northcliffe are struggling for members. An application for a second club at Currumbin was rejected.
Sounds like you are making good progress. Good luck.
Sounds good guys. You might be able to have some interclub SUP races with the GC Paddle Centre ( Roar Watermans Broadwater ). They've been running for a couple of years now at the broadwater and have a large race membership that paddles most days. Their shop stocks a huge range of race and surf SUP's from all the top brands.
Geez a bar and clubhouse i might switch camps , nah only joking look forward to some intra club rivarly though. Ill donate my carving as a perpetual trophy.Only end up as firewood otherwise
