Jakey 3rd first overall , what was he thinking when he dropped off that first wave and let Kai get away.Macking waves what an awesome race.

He seemed to get intimidated off to the right. Should have run Kai down as Kai had everything to lose.

Jake is certainly one of the good guys. We might have to beat that out of him.

Good Work THE SNAKE

Now he's off the beach he responds to Gorgeous George.

Good read. Funny stuff from the regulars here. Waiting for Lacey to chime in. He has been on fire lately

Great news for you as well Pete. All that Currumbin Creek training has paid off for all of the guys.

Hey guys
I hope some of you guys got to watch the racing today as for us doing it it was as much fun as you could get in this type of racing!! coming around the last turn and watching Kai get smoked by one of the sets of the day and then on the wave behind Jake and Casper got just as smashed was a awesome sight, from where we were this event was one of the best SUP events to watch to date. The racing was so close that for most of the decisions there were only inches in it and photo finishes were pretty much the standard for every heat.
Also unreal to see the level of paddling lifting and now it seems like any one of 10 guys could win at one of these events and i think next year it will be 20 guys who could win any event, the level is lifting and Jake seems to be leading the way. Cant wait for the Tour to start next year!!

Thanks guys.

Yep gnarly day!! Trying to handle a 12'6ft race board in 8ft plus surf hahahahaha u get the idea!!

The whole aussie crew did super and claimed some great podium spots from this weekend and even the final world ranking spots.

Can't wait to do all again next year.

Copped a nice bump on the head but that is part of this type of racing and it was crazy fun.

Anyones race today! but to be apart it the World Series is unreal.

Its time everyone got behind and support this World Series as next year its gonna be bigger and better again.

x angie

ps i cant wait to get home and train haha

Yes, SUP is offically main stream now, the national TV news showed Jake's first and Angie's second place finishes in the sports highlights!

Congrats to you both on GR8 efforts!
