The aussies are killing it!!

I only have some info from jacko but so far..

Young Keale Dorries is in equal 1st with Halie Harrison with one more heat left to go.

Beau and Jake are making their way thru the heats fine.

Jacko as normal bad luck leading his heat only to somehow drop his paddle on the run to the finish and had to go back for it but then got passed lol

Big surprise of the day was Peter Dorries has knocked out connor baxter and pete is now thru !! Well its no surprise to me as pete has been training his butt off and it showing.

Great job aussie and bad luck jacko

well, that doesn't surprise me. i said a while ago if you consider pete's age in the scheme of things, he would be the best bop paddler in australia.

i copped some ribbing for that, by pete himself

Maybe the ribbing was for taking his age into account
His result today showed that age isn't a barrier, if you got the talent, skills and train smart. (Even if the rest of the finalists were less than half his age.)

1 lap to go in the distance race, conditions look tough, windy and choppy out the back and looks like a lot of water moving in the surf zone for the inside buoy turns.
Connor and Kai leading, but all up theres 6 guys in the lead pack and can't tell who the other 4 are.

So stoked for Jakey!!! He really suits the new Fanatic.

What an excellent results by the Aussie's.

I do remember jakey's words after a downwinder a few back after smashing everyone on the run "Yep no one is gonna be me on this board when it's bumpy" !!! So far he is one the mark.

Cocky little **** but he deserves it all cos he trains so hard.

Few pics from Supworld mag from the winners. Also great to see the top 3 Men and Ke'ale riding straight production boards that anyone can buy of the shelf, which has to be good for the sport knowing that they are not on something special that no one else can buy!! Great result for Jake and Ke'ale with the conditions being pretty tough with a good upwind leg, down wind leg and some good size surf to go in and out of 6 times. Very good lead up event for them leading in to this weeks BOP

good to see you got some greens there Jacko, someone with butt hurt must of got upset at your pimping .....funny, you are sponsored right, I figure pimping would be part of your job. Maybe it was one of the cheerleaders that figure the only pimping that is allowed is that of locally made boards.

looked like a awesome event and so good to see a bit of surf and conditions in this type of racing. Well done to all the Aussies there, both on corporate and local boards
