That first clip would have to be one of the best surf clips I have ever seen !
It also doesn't hurt that I am heading over there in Sept for a surfing holiday with my family and surfing sons!

Anyone see that doco Iconoclasts withe Eddie Vedder and Laird Hamilton?
Eddie Vedder was such a knob. He made this really crap painting of this miniscule stick figure in the surf and wrote this really moronic song about the surf - sounded like a nursery rhyme.
Later Laird rode his bicycle to one of his stupid gigs somewhere in the US - it was like they pretended they had something in common, when the reality was that there was nothing: Eddie is a knob and Laird is a hero.
The last few minutes they played the footage in mirror image. There was no left handers. Looks nice though.
That's Wilkes alright, not often you get it that hollow. A lot less crowded now Cloudbreak is open to all.
for an Hour and a half 10:30am till 12noon (scary) with no one around and the Namotu guest were to tired to surf
