Possibly when you see him charging backhand at Pipe like this,

I have seen many pics of the man charging but this is my favorite!

Big call Who else is up there?

Thats awesome allright , i guess if we had consistent big surf in Oz we would see guys like Jamie Mitchell , Billie Watson charging on SUP ,plenty of others too no doubt.

AA, I presume you mean SUP big wave rider.

I reckon the guys that charge Dungeons in Cape town on SUPs are crazier. Cold Water, sharks, etc. But Ikaika is the man in Hawaii!

No mate! On a goat boat!

So, c'mon - lets see the pics of Dungeons!
No, actually- how about a pic of you on the biggest wave you ever caught on a goat boat!

That may raise the CRAZY stakes!

Actually I saw grainy footage once of Goatman on a ski at Makaha ( Longy ) when it was farkin huge - one section he free fell about 15 feet into the pit and made it. That was crazy!

That shot of Pipe is awesome.

Laird still gets my vote.. along with Dave, Robby, Bonga and Ekolu just to mention a few.

We might even see Pete Cabrina and Jason Polakow pushing their new boards to the limits soon.

BTW.. I saw some sneek pics of JP's new boards today hot out of the mold... Nice..

Laird for me as well.

We (Australia) get waves similar to that, it's just a matter of getting it on the right day and then being able to get to them. Vicco has some bombies and 2 Mile down the west coast that IMO are heavier. Guys tow surf them all the time, we just need some nut to paddle (SUP) into 'em.

Brendon,

When the Bombies down here get that farKin big, I will be watching from the beach.

I hear 2 mile gets huge but not in that range.

Anyone got a pic or 2 of 2 mile working.

Phill??

Ok, that last vid of Jamie was a tow-in so it doesn't count for this thread. It was still a heavy wave tho

Not to worry - here is one from Jamies web site. It's not as big but is still a pretty good effort.

I also saw a nice pic of James "Billy" Watson charging a nice solid one recently (in Oz). I can't find the pic so if anyone has it why don't you post it? The more pics of guys charging on SUPs the better, in my books.
