It was also a highlite to see this coveted award go to JB from Naish (now ex Naish) on the weekend.

Not only can he claim to have introduced Paddle Surfing to the MAMBO WAVE CLASSIC (its all his fault apparently), but he was also a key influencer in getting a lot of us into the sport.

Based on the fact that the guy rips both on a StandUP and on a kite board and the fact that he is renowned for going hard on-and-off the beach, means it was a deserved win.

It is a sad loss to both sports that he has moved on IMO!

Respect!

just to clear one little bit up, JB is in no way ex Naish, I could let him talk himself up but he is still a sponsored rider for NAISH Australia, ION wetsuits and Windgenuity.
But back to the thread objective, yes big props to him for putting in a very solid effort and scoring the coverted fencepost last night. then to finish off a great weekend he pushed the car back to sydney...

Thanks heaps for the props crew, it as an amazing 4 days. I can't believe how good the conditions ere every day, and to top it off with the killer swell on sundays was the most.

Thanks heaps to everyone, as you all make the Mambo what it is, but a big thanks to the Merimbula crew for their endless efforts every year in putting this great event together.

Yes the truemers are right, I have left Windgenuity after many a year of working in this awesome industry to put on a tie and suit (even shoes) in the world of banking, however I am har from gone. I am still a Naish, Ion & Windgenuity Team rider, and will always be at the Mambo!!!!!

Pushing the car home, after a massive weekend, Leon and I ran out off fuel in the middle of no where on Sunday night, and spent the night pushing the van to a little servo and waiting til 6am to refuel. What an awesome week/end!

Thanks again to all, I had an absolute blast!

Kind regards,

JB
