Day one of the time trials complete. Wind condition is 10 knots SE (according to seabreeze) which provides no real assistance and a slight cross wind. Good turn out for day one and thanks to the lovely wife for doing the timekeeping (and know cooking while I type this).

Well done Lincoln as we tried to keep your pace in the first 2km. Let's hope we remember by next week that this can not be done but at our age we may forget.

See you all next Thursday for same time and place. Also do not forget training session at M'dore at 6:30am on Saturday with Peter Dorries, Beau Obrien and Paul Jackson

Details below:
Name, Board, Time
Lincoln Dews 12'6” Starboard 28:29
John Townsend 14' Timber home-made, Air Force designed absolute beauty. 30:35
Alan Heald 12'6” Fanatic Fly (Red) 30:37
Anthony Swan 12'6” Naish Jav 30:40
Trevor Darlington 12'6” Fanatic (White) 31:20
Nathan Day 14' Naish Glide 31:40
Guy Davis 11'6” Home-made “Hairy Goat” SUP 32:50
Bruce Exton 12'6” Coreban 35:59
Jennie Mitchell 11'6” NSP 36:26

Good to see my name above Rusties, Luke's, Cell's and Jonsey's.

Swanie was second all the way around but faded a little just with five minutes to go. He did all the hard work pulling Alan and I around, what a mate!!!

It is, but then again it was powered by a impressive engine.

Hey Swanie, just a thought. What about a national Seabreeze time trial organised by SUP clubs? For the sake of discussion, lets say flatwater, one way only, without wind or tidal assistance timed over 500m, 1km &/or 2km courses. One paddler must wear a gps to authenticate distances. Certainly would be great for us southerners during the winter months & would give all racers nationally an opportunity to see where they sit in the big picture! If interested, count the SA SUP Crew in!

We would be keen for that. The lake here is an Olympic style rowing lake so is perfect for us as it has the measurement cans on it. Finding a day without wind may be an issue but possible in Winter. Get someone to organise it and I will look after this end on the Sunshine Coast and post times.
