They will be on at 4:35pm This Thursday at Lake Kawana. All Welcome.
Will post start method soon.
Cheers
Swanie
Bit windy tonight with a head wind slowing most of the field.
Big call out to the young ones though.
Lincoln Dews, though crook in the stomach and not feeling 100%, smashed out a new PB taking 11 seconds of his best. Pretty impressive considering the conditions and the fact he was rolling on the grass before the race clutching his stomach.
Trevor Tunnington Who has only just been picked up by Starboard did his first Time Trial on a 14' Starboard Ace (recently purchased from John Townsend before he was sponsored, shows he loves the brand). He smashed out a great time and again I state that the conditions were not ideal. Ryan you better get that 15'6" of yours a polish as I think this youngen is trying to knock you off your perch. Trevor now has the second fastest time on the lake for this season of time trials.
Also paddling brilliantly is Alan Heald, John Townsend and Jayne Ryeland. These three are really putting in the effort and getting great results and times not only here but at the recent creek to creek race. Sponsors could look at sponsoring this age bracket to show the main demographic of the sport what can be done on their boards. Just putting it out there and supporting club members.
Here is tonight's new "Leader Board". I will put tonight's results up in a short while.
Thanks Swanie for as always organizing this and posting, not an easy thing having a young family to juggle.
We all appreciate the effort, as always it's the unsung heroes that keep clubs running.
Tonight was hard though.
And I wasn't drafting,, Swanie wouldn't move to the slow lane.
On sponsorship,I picked up a deal for boards, travel and comp entry fees from a local Limo Company.
Opps Should have said Lincoln Dews not Lincoln Jones. Might go be a commentator now for an international race.
