Hey guys,

Spent the last month or so in Hawaii and have been scoring some epic waves this Winter. Check this little vid from the last couple of swells. Got one of the best barrels I've gotten on the SUP and its good to start getting a taste for bigger waves.

Hope you like it.

Very impressed! You look like you are riding a surfboard, and that's meant as a compliment. That first tube is unreal.

Glad everyone likes the vid. Loving it over here. Its pretty much all shot at Laniakea. Riding a scaled down version of the JP surf 8'6. Loving the board!

Got back from my second trip to Oahu,So many o/head days with only a few in the water.Rented a house on the beach between Chuns and Right Overs.Waves every where and that stretch of coast on the Mokulea side of Haleiwa is amazing and again no crowds!!Puaena Point. At Haleiwa is a perfect SUP wave and in the bay perfect for not so advanced.

The last arvo caught up with Todd Bradley for a down winder from Coco Head to the Outrigger Canoe club.35knot in the perfect angle,4 ft bumps with hot showers and warmed towels at the club at the end of the run.

Jeez Shane
Like I said, I agree with you in principal, but having watched the vid numerous times and seen Keahis act from the water more than once, I reckon you are well and truly barking up the wrong tree.....Cant for the life of me see how those waves could have been surfed better on a Stand Up.
Its a free country mate and you are entitled to your opinion, but I would suggest you invest in a pair of asbestos jocks if you want to refer to those who are clearly at the pointy end of the sport as serial pests.
Good surfing is good surfing, short, long, paddle no paddle....That was bloody good surfing!!
Cheers

Yes Sparx. Fully agree.

Good surfing is simply that, good surfing. No matter what people ride if they rip other people that are above any ability on whatever other craft appreciate the skill.

The fact he rips on so many different toys makes him a freak.

Shane, what the hell has how he holds his paddle, got to do with justification of dropping in, or paddling on the inside.....what a wank!

Id rather "surf" my board then jamb the paddle for every turn. As lacey said, I to find it akward to put it on the left side, on top that a weak shoulder I would probably blow out....

what it is, is much better surfing then stab and dodge, when people can only turn 30 degrees by jambing the paddle in.

seems you are from the like minded short boarder mentality that bags sup no matter what, and when someone does the opposit, the goal posts are changed.

Im glad I dont give a **** what I look like, other wise id pack it in and never have fun.

Keep ripping Keahi

Great vid Keahi thanks for posting I noticed a quad set up from one of the underwater shots, do you only use this on the smaller waves or do you find it affective on the JP on bigger waves as well?

All good Shane post up a video of you getting a better shack without the paddle or maybe some air shots like these to show us how it's really done. I would love to see how you just rip it up on a SB.
