I've put the word out Stu and there's already a few takers. The competitor list from last year was a pretty hot field. Hopefully the same group will do it again.
Thanks John, hoping for the same :)) and some good paddling weather for all for a great day on the northern beaches. It is a very scenic area.
It is getting so close to "The Suplove Sup Challenge" around magical Lion Island and the interest is building. Get the word out for a spectacular day of racing. Come along and Demo from the Suplove range of boards.

The Suplove Sup Challenge is on this Saturday and the weather forecast is looking very promising with light winds and swell. There will be safety boats in action so this could be a good day for all paddlers. Come and have your first race or watch the race. Interested in a board then demo from the Suplove range including the Suplove Stingray race board.

It is designed and engineered by Andrew Dovell, a Masters Graduate of Naval Architecture from the University of California, Berkeley. Andrew is an acknowledged world leader in technical yacht design for over 20 years. Involved in 5 America's Cups campaigns he has served as Designer of Record on 3 challenges.
Designed to be the fastest raceboard. The Stingray's revolutionary and completely unique hull design is unlike any other Stand Up Paddle Race Board and has had considerable success in the USA.
Try one at the Demo :))
Hi Jez, I think the under 14' division is the 12'6" class. Wording could be better on that one, may have stopped me shaving an inch off the nose of my Ace.
Put your saws away boys and girls.
It is : 14 foot and under and over 14 foot.
This will save your one inch Sam.
Jez looking forward to racing you, two weekends in a row, maybe three with SPSC coming up !!!
Stu,
Maybe it should have been under 14 foot and 14 foot and over. At least this way the 14s won't have to race Stu on his 17 footer. That was too hard last weekend.
Off to enter on "Lion"
Jezza you gotta do better this week, with that one under your belt.
I might put in a spot prise for the 12.6
Stuey...good on you for supporting this race. I am 80/20 about going. Just juggling kids as missus is away.
Brett Greenwood puts on a great day. The prize draws after the race are awesome - real quality.
Conditions are looking good although it is a shame there is not a big swell. Catching waves down the the north side of the island is a buzz...
If you're new to SUP racing, this is a nice way to start...and paddling around Lion Island is a treat. Make sure you look up and enjoy the experience.
From what i hear, it will pretty competitive at the pointy end too
Hi guys
Passing through from Melbourne and going to do the sup race ,just wondering where the closest place to camp and unfold a camper trailer is?
Sim
Thanks Dave, fingers crossed you can make it, it would be an absolute highlight to have you there. Conditions are still looking good :))
I'm getting my passport stamped to come over for this one.
Looking forward to getting the Coreban Dart into some racing
...albeit at the backend I'd say.
Every one welcome to hang at the Suplove tent and we will make a sup village there :)) There is a BBQ and a coffee truck about for the breakfast call. After the Lion roars.
A big thankyou to Avalon Surf Club and Stew Murray for pushing the SUP cause at the Lion Island Challenge. A really well run event.
