Some photos taken last week on Mana Island in Fiji, I hired the 2010 Naish SUP Nalu AST Window 11'6" from Walu Water Sports and the board was delivered to the island for me. The adjustable paddle was perfect for my needs and I had tons of fun cruising the island and catching small reef waves on the northern side of the island.
As you can see from the photos my son (almost two years old) also enjoyed himself which was a plus as it gave my wife some time to relax too.
Hey Paul,
Nice shots mate. How do you rate Mana Island ? Would you go back again ?
I haven't stayed there myself but am always looking at different places to stay in the future.
I stayed on Treasure Island and loved it for the true island experience (Treasure is 400m long x 200m wide).
Hi all,
Great photos by the way, and just wanted to add... went to Mana Island in March 2010 for our honeymoon and stayed in the honeymoon bure, it was awesome... I took a waveski out to the South side of the island to grab some reef waves (it was ok on the waveski but nowhere near as good as it would have been on a SUP) but I didn't have my SUP and almost cried!!! Hence, we are going back there just before Xmas this year, and have done the same (hiring SUP from Lisa at WaluWaterSports and it should be awesome again)... totally rate Mana Island and cant wait to go back again. Genuine friendly people, good food, cold beer, awesome water, can't wait.
MENTAL NOTE: Anyone who goes to Mana Island should give feedback to the Resort to GET SOME DAMN STAND UP PADDLES into their watercraft fleet (and not just the old crappy waveskis they have now)!!!

Gr8 Stuff.
Anyone been to Malolo Island Fiji or know if there is any good SUP in that area. Easy waves
Going for a wedding in August.
Cheers
Hi all,
Just wanted to add... we returned to Aus yesterday after a week at Mana Island Fiji (our second trip). Hired a Naish Mana SUP from Lisa at Walu Water Sports and they delivered it to the island for me. It was awesome... caught a few nice waves each day on the high tide reef between Castaway Island and Mana Island... quite a few hundred metres from the island beach... was great fun, combined an exercise paddle each way wiith some waves. I was giggling like a little kid again on some of those waves. Great trip. Took our 4 month old son and he's a tad young for any SUP fun time but within a few years could be good for an all-round holiday.
Just cant wait for the next trip now.

Bula,
Glad it worked out for you mate. Lisa does a wonderful job getting the Sup out to the resort the day prior to arrival. It is such a great environment to Sup in.
Bula Scotty,
Yes very very good work by Lisa and the WaluWaterSports team. To have the SUP there ready, then to paddle out 15mins to the back reef, and then to turn back and look back at the little Mana island while playing in the waves, it was awesome. Was the only one within cooee... would have been nice for another SUPper to be there just so we could enjoy the laughs and maybe even take some photos/footage of each other... but that will be for next time!
