Yep, noticed the northern end is showing n/ne. I'm taking a mate on his second Dw'er, so we'll be doing the Elwood to hmb run at 9am. Got the Starboard 14 prepped and ready for it's maiden Dw!

It's been 15-25 knots true north at Fawkner beacon already this morning and St Kilda 15-20 nor-nor east .

That pretty normal and no probes.. Should be good..

I just got back from my Sunday morning ride. Passed all of the points where we paddle past and it's glassy!

Nor-noreast can often look like that but there is wind once you're out a bit.

We had a great run today with a constant 20-25 and the odd higher gusts.

We had a good group and a couple of newbies that had a great time.

I tried a new camera angle with my GoPro that worked great.. shame about the no SD card thing..

Timed it well today, as there was a small spike in the wind around 10am.

A Melb DW'er wouldn't be the same without the obligatory pre-launch board photo shoot.

The Starboard 14 was set for it's maiden voyage. Being a good mate, I threw the keys to James, as being a DW newbie, it would prove to be the more stable of the 2 boards. As a result, he had a fun, 90 min, stack free run, linking heaps of runners and generally giggling like a school girl!
