Looking pretty good for 1pm Sunday - NNW at 20-25 knots. Looking even better for Monday at the same time - pushing 30 knots.
The best thing about Melbourne downwinders on a honking northerly is how safe they are. We're never more than 1km from shore, usually 500metres or so.
Unless PT you slip past Ricketts and end up in Mornington, Frankston Or even Portsea in which case you could easily be 20 KM off.
I will try to make 1 of the 2, Kiddys permitting
Let me know which one you can go to Dave, and I'll come over and pinch your SIC F18 for the other one ! Nah, just kidding... I'm booked out for both... B'Day party and Work.
I'm in for Sunday.....unless it looks ok down at Flinders.... Been ages since I have surfed Big Left.
Port Melbourne to Mornington, Port Melbourne to Mornington, Port Melbourne to Mornington the sound 35 knots makes......
That last red arrow taking us straight in, anyone wants to cut it short just go into Sandringham.
Okay so tomorrow is on. We should get anywhere from 15 - 25 knots. Meet at Sandringham at 10am. We may take our time getting going as the forecast is for stronger winds the later we wait. So allow plenty of time.
