The last few days here in Melbourne have been classic Autumn paddling perfection.
This was yesterday.. Perfect conditions for paddling the Javelin.
I was thinking that's it's a bit cool but it's about as good as it gets.
I was wrong.. Today was even better.. It was even glassier and almost T shirt weather.
It was glass as far as you could see.
The water is about as clear as it gets and lots of fish and stuff to look at.
What are you looking at?... Yeah.. they know I'm there and they expect bread.
They won't go till they know my bread roll is all gone.
It was warm enough to paddle in a T shirt but cold enough to wear a jumper while standing around.
Nice reflection of the boats.
I headed back and past this old tug boat that a guy has been working on.
Check it out.. It looks like an old tug boat.. or is it a fishing boat.
I love what he's done at the back.. It's almost a house boat.
Does anyone know what these things on the side are.. I'm guessing some kind of stabilizers to help with rocking in rough water?

I enjoy all your photo essays. Thanks DJ.
The forum has a propensity to be one dimensional.
It is a relief to see a varied view.
Your right with the stabilisers
Home made jobs,It helps to not roll the boat in big seas due to top heavy loads while working.
Classic boat.

i thought that was 'the surf for' a moment
Another perfect day today.. .. Warm, sunny and glassy..
Jonathan and I had a great paddle today (him on the K15 and me on the Jav) and I didn't take pics until we got back and we saw this cool jet stream overhead.
