My 7 year old daughter was watching me practice kick turns with my mate last week and she asked me to teach her , to my amazement these shots were taken 10 minutes later , she is on my 9ft surfing mal and it's blowing 15 knots straight up the canal (look at the ears on the dog) and she just nailed them.Bonnie calls them wheelies , her balance just blew me away.I get my new 9-2 PSH next week but i have hurt my shoulder and could be out of the water for awhile so it looks like my 7 year old will get to break it in.

She did nail it - what a fantastic effort - it must make you feel proud. Puts me and my efforts at doing the same thing to shame. You got to love the obligatory shot with the dog on the sup board - that one looks like he loves it.

Great photos Piros.

I've paddled in some of those canals around the GC before but was freaked right out about bull sharks - do you see them in the canals there. Are they a figment of my imagination or just a seasonal thing?

Thanks Oliver and yes I'm one proud Daddy My wife just freaks out about the bull sharks especially when I put the dogs on the boards , yes they are here but I have spent my whole life water skiing and paddleing in these canals and never seen one.My canal is a dead end canal and doesn't hold fish so the chance of a bully coming in is very low. Over the last 20 years there has only been a handful attacks the whole canal system , much less than in the surf but 100's have been caught so yes there is a risk but I'm always close by.Plus she hardly ever falls off

Yeah she has a great feel for the blade in the water , Bonnie really wants to learn and listens really well , her paddle is one my old outrigger paddles cut in half and a carbon ski paddle shaft glue in the middle , I have tried her in the surf once but we got hammered in the shore break and she was instantly over it , so I've pulled back for a while and hopefully by Christmas she'll surfing at Currumbin...no more beach breaks

Here is what the little girls grow into!
Ours is 16 and all trouble!!!!

Hoping she takes to this sport and we can keep her away from the boys.

She is just starting out and is too cool to try the waves in case someone sees her fall off. Much more important to adjust the bikini bottom than

develop a paddle style!

Just thinking this was only taken about 6 months ago and Seb's really changed - probably grown a foot and is my height now.

Here he is doing another thing I struggle to be able to do

Very, very cool....my "baby" is getting her masters degree. She did have some fun on my wifes board this past summer. Her older sister loves it and wants one of her own. Now that I have a quiver of 5 we'll all be able to get out together which will be fun. Can't wait for next summer.

Since the kids are getting a run I thought I'd show a cool vid of my son Ryan, he's not on a Sup but uses one sometimes as a cross trainer. He rides my boards exclusively from Noosa Surfworks,.

Stuey, what a great video of Ryan! Outstanding that he is such a great person and clearly an avid waterman. Does he let you catch any waves when the two of you are out?
