I got a new board. A GONG gravity 10'2" and a Select carbon paddle.
I tried it in 3-4feet waves today and my first impression is that its more difficult than I thought it would be. The board is really tippy. I had to sit on my knees til' the take off. But it was really choppy and windy...
I didn't have my camera with me today (or someone to take pictures), but will post some pictures soon.
Congrats..
Can't wait for pictures....How wide is the 10'2"..?..and pics of the paddle also thanks.

"choppy and windy" are challenging conditions on anything.take care with the gong board ive got the 911 and it chips real easy exposing white under the red gloss, even resting mine on the beach caught it on a stone white scratch ouch
cheers ian
It's 29" wide...
Good choice, this board is a killer.
No worries with the paint, the first generation of Gong boards had a really thin layer of paint, they improved that on the second generation.
I've had a 9'11 when I was in Gran Canaria and after 6 month of intensive use it never needed any resin job (but yeah, I've left red paint on the canarian rocks) ; actually after hitting really hard my paddle on the board when surfing I chipped the paddle (gong fiber paddle) and only took a bit of paint of the board.
If you like your paddle and go waveriding more than cruising, try to protect it as well.
I'm looking forward to see some pics of yours.
here's the video of Xavier Leroy riding the 10'2 :
For boards that scratch easy those guys are pretty rough with them. Great video though.
What are you going to call her sweden?
