Picked up a newbie today for some feedback.

Wow, how sweet is the AST version ?

Differs from the 12' Glide in that the rails and deck are a polished finish and not the standard matte outer coat - very impressed.

I'm sure it'll be a buzz outside with some ocean breeze behind it - talk about chunky rails !

The 14' AST Glide is definitely a nice looking stick and a great price. Anyone know the weight difference to the white version?

I have a mate who had the standard version (the expensive one) and he feels the AST is the better of the two......that and the cost are two major reasons I went the AST.....was pleasantly surprised when I unwrapped and felt polished rails too !

After 3 days trying, finally got the 14' out on the water this morning.

Just a 5km still water paddle up to Swallow Rock and back to tune in and it felt mighty fine.

Thought I'd share some pic's;

Try it with a smaller fin like the fin on the Starboard K-15. Mo bettah. Probably can even go smaller.

Thanks.

It's at Grays Point, a southern suburb of Sydney in the Sutherland Shire.

The Royal National Park is at Sutherland / Loftus / Engadine on the Princes Highway between Sydney & Wollongong and if you stay on it, you'll end up in Vicco about 850km south !

Great part of the world and I'd love to bump into other suppers on one of many regular paddles thru the Natio from Audley up to 'The Shire'

!
