Hey JB I noticed in the vid that one of the guys who did that 22 mile crossing with Dave Kalama and others was paddling the new 11'4" like mine.
I think the 11'4" has even better glide than the 11'6"..What do you reckon?
Are there any big lakes here that we could do something like this on?

Hi DJ,
I think they used as many boards as they could get their hands on. And yea there was some 11'4"s there.
As for Glide, it is a tricky one. The 11'6" has more volume and is slightly thinner, so I would imagine it should be quicker, but the 11'4" it quite fast. Just wait for the "GLIDE", then you'll know about Glide!!! Can't wait
I guess we have an ocean! Anyone keen to paddle across to Tassy?
I think coastal runs would be better suited to us. Maybe we should do a tri-state crossing, and paddle from the Gold Coast to Lakes entrance of something and cross QLD, NSW and Vic borders. Stopping at all the major turo destinations. Gold Coast, Byron, Lennox, Coffs, Terrigal, Sydney Harbour, Woolongong, Kiama, Jervis Bay, Ulladulla, Merimbula, Lakes Entrance. It's only about 1100kms. (about 578 nortical miles) at 5 knots, it should only take about 115 Hourss! Who's in?
JB
Call me a woosie JB but I still like the idea of a big lake crossing.. ..Don't we have something like Tahoe?
