Did anyone go to the North kite Fanatic Sup 2011 product launch in Vic last Night how did the SUPs look. The 2010 9'6 was a great board. Is it changed any new boards? were the beers cold

No pics but there was a nice looking 10'6 that was good and light and an 11'6 that was a family freindly style lunker. And the beer was tasty and cold.

That distance thing looks pretty good!

So do the other boards but I really like the nose on the race board.

9' x 29" Doggie. If you're up for some driving you can try it out.

hi, yeah, square tail.sharp nose displacement into flat very quickly which i think is the go. a big long displacement on a sup seems to take a bit to get going ie you have to displace that water. ski's oc''s etc are a lot narrower. anyway, jacko had it a the shop for a day and i got to have a go. both reckon it's stable, 29" wide, and would really suit the bigger boppers around the place. i'm 77kg's and jacko's less, but it didn't feel corky to me anyway with heaps of float. the word is they designed for everyone
cheers

I have taken advantage of Quinny being at the snow this weekend and taxed his 9'0" Fanatic to take for a whirl. Looks pretty sweet.

First impressions before riding,

- Great tail lines, looks much sweeter in person than on pic.
- Full rails forward.
- Looks bigger than 9', but layed it down along an 8'4" Naish, and it's surprising.
- Very light!
- Fin set up needs attention, but I always change my fins, that's my thing.
- Looks a little straight through the nose in rocker, but I'll wait til I ride first.

I also managed to Tax Sambo's new Naish Paddle (haven't even seen one of these yet!!!), looks very sweet. Maybe a separate review.

Anyway, about to leave for my session as soon as there is some light..... Will update when I get back.
