Mini, you should have a bash on the 8'0''.. Too much like hard work for me at a fraction over 80kg but it could be right up your alley.

In saying that though I did have a steamer on which has got to be worth a few kg as the water warms up and if I can stay strong and stick to the Naish Hokua 8 footer diet I might be in with a shot as at the moment if I stop paddling the 8'0" it does sink.

Seriously though I caught 2 waves on the 8.0 and it'd be worth some pain to have it as your regular paddler. The other option is to go the other way and follow the Dogman diet and bust on through 90 and make the 8'10 sink like an 8 footer. Probably more fun on the Dogman diet.

Sam.

In the video it looked a bit like it had the parking brake on. Never quite getting up and planing. Still looked pretty good though, especially for such small waves.

Sambo, Just noticed off that Vid that your standing too far forward also. I was doing this morning alsos then I conciously moved my back foot back onto the tail kick, and OMG came out! To board goes twice as loose, but still keeps the drive. Did every wave after. It looked like your foot was on the front of the tail pad, so heaps more love to be given.

Sweet vid, Casso.

Gotta love the 8'10"

Ummm wow what a Sup kook that alex guy is.
i'm sure he has better balance with a kite straped to him though .

Fun morning but i don't think ill go near Matty again, that collision on vid was actually the second time he did that. Although i did manage to block the wopper with a nice carbon Kialoa. More specifically it was matts nice carbon kialoa.

Ripping Sam, the 8"10 looks awesome. Unsure whether the 8"0 is too much like hard work.

Sam, good surfing mate, especially on a brand new stick. Looks so lively and loose, would really go off in a bit more size and suck.

Matty, remind me not to drop in on ya out the point anytime soon...ha ha
