Hi Peeps,

We have finally finished off our new custom made Stand Up Paddle Perth Downwind trailer.

We are going to be doing regular Northern Beach runs as the season gets under way. There are a few great runs I've done like City Beach to Scarborough, Scarborough to Sorrento and Scarborough to Mullaloo, or any combination of the above. My fave is the Scarborough to Mulla's run. Wicked runners just past Trigg Point and excellent runners from just past Hillarys to Mullaloo.

Call us in the shop or watch us on facebook (www.facebook.com/standuppaddleperth) for days when we will be operating this service. It's time to get a Downwind crew happening proper.

The trailer is a 7' x 4' Box Trailer with lighter springs than standard and an extra long drawbar, extra paint due to water and corrosion, and drop down front and rear tail gates for an extra board in the tray.

Artificial grass in the tray because it handles water and doesn't rot or scratch the boards, and a custom built, bright galvanized frame with special foam paddling.

The trailer will easily accommodate boards from 8' to 17' foot and even handles extra wide boards.

We're stoked! Bring on the wind!

DM

what a great trailer. I often thought we need something like that here in Dunedin.

I hope it works out as planned

Hey Guys,

When we first announced we would be getting into SUP and we would be turning things upside down in terms of a traditional retail model in Perth, we knew we would upset a few people along the way.

It seems we are getting it right because every time we post a positive post about free services we offer like our fitness sessions, or stuff like the Downwind service, we cop a red thumb from some disgruntled individual. LOL. We know who you are

Red thumb away coz it means we are right on track

I reckon that's a great service your offering there DM,
shows you have a genuine interest in the sport itself other than just selling Sup's,
to bad I'm 3000k away

Great work Darren and Todd, a well thought out trailer for sure. Will definitely streamline your downwind runs !
Look forward to seeing you for a couple of runs sooner rather than later.

Cheers Simmo

Hey rahams, price tag for this unit weighed on at a little over $2,000 not including my labour.

@ LouD, that sounds like it might be a plan. Let's watch the weather and if it comes in, we might get a start, I'm keen to put the Jamie Mitchel through its paces on the Ocean in a Perth Seabreeze. Call us.

Just thinking, I may be knackered. I have three 1.5 hr training sessions to get through tomorrow. Give us a call and see if I can manage it, I may need an IV at the end

Hey Hilly,

That's a good run. I can't do every night, but I'm sure I'll see you there. We might just pick the more Southerly days. I still have a business to run too

Thanks to all who support us, there's plenty more to come and it's going to be a great season!

Trailer looks the goods, nice work.
