Flashes like a metal lure as it moves through the water, just need a set of trebble hooks on the back!

Stock model DC14 with full carbon option.

Nice ! Thanks for the photos. Nice board, and nice photos.

Yes, BIG Titanium Fish Hooks at the back, and attach the leash to the front, so that when she bites, you can reel it back in!

beautiful board this one. full carbon layup- nicely crafted.

i had a much to short of a paddle on this board. the carbon definately give the board a nice twang.i counterlevered the board on the racks and it lifts straight away so its as stiff as and i believe it a very important part of a good dw board
cheers

Not exactly sure, I asked Dale for a metalic finsh and he went out and found a paint that was suitable. You would have to check with DC

She's a beauty.. .. Watch that silver in the sun.. They usually don't like the UV.. ask any car paint shop... I like it and it should stay cool.

i had a backyard 14'er for a bit. it was silver. i was worried about the heat too, but strangely it never seemed to get any hotter than my other boards, i would say it was a bit cooler than normal after a trip on the car roof racks
cheers

It's not the heat that's an issue.. In fact it's better than most colours with heat but I'm talking about the silver colour breaking down in the sunlight.

Maybe silver paints are more UV resistant these days.

I think our local guys fly out on the 5 to see the new range. Very keen to see some photos. Told them that if there is a new 9'hokua that may be an inch wider for the more well built guy then the greyhound out there, to stick it under their arm and bring it back.

I heard a rumor that they have made a couple of new 12'6" boards in diferent rider weight ranges. Hope this is all true.

I want one! Hi DJ, crook as Queensland politician after Saturday's effort! By the way you better post that interesting photo (I mean digital image) of me doing my special ins and outs. Might teach some of the younger guys something!

Weight came in a few grams over 10KG w/o grip

Width : I think Dale does the stock model at 30". He might have "tweaked" width and rocker a little to suit my exact needs.

Not to open the debate again, but thats why I went custom. I dont know a lot about this type of open ocean board, so was pointless for me to demo production boards in a creek. Felt more confident that I would end up with a board that will do what I want by having DC take a model which is a proven perfomer and add his minor detail changes to suit my weight, experience and expected useage

Actually I was a little worried that it might reflect glare in my eyes and be a bit annoying when paddeling ... but have found it not to be a problem at all
