Now that would have come in handy for the upwind sections of the bop race at the nationals , just need to work out how to hide it
Yep, perfect for the physically handicapped ..... or mentally handicapped. Right up there with wavejet boards. If anyone is thinking they'd like to get one of these I'd be careful. They will be classified in the same class as jet skis.
From The Age
"A spokesman for Transport Safety Victoria said it had formally notified WaveJet that the boards were personal watercraft and subject to marine safety regulations.
Under these rules, riders must wear a lifejacket and must carry a buoyant waterproof torch and a small radio beacon for emergencies.
The vessel must not exceed five knots within 200 metres of the shore and keep 400 metres away from anyone in the water."

On a side note, it's interesting to note that Jet Skis are not allowed within 400 metres of anyone in the water. Like to see that one enforced more rigorously.

Have seen some evidence of a bit of a crackdown on them around my local, hoping the authorities keep it up.
