There's no need to paddle when you've got 40 knots of tail wind pushing you along.

Here's a short one minute vid showing what it's like at the end of one our down-winders as we enter the Sandy Marina.

You don't realise just how fast we're going till you look at the breakwater wall and how fast you are moving along it.. without even paddling..

Jonathan's on his 14' Pene and I'm on my 14' Glide.. I'm not sure who the other two are behind us.. Anyone remember who was with us that day?

From an earlier downwinder my GPS was showing 8-9 kph just standing on the board.

Paddling didn't make a lot of difference.

On a runner the speed jumped up to 15 kph.
