Sitting here in Vicco and its bucketing down, pretty much like the rest of the East Coast. Zero swell and nothing on the radar until at least Monday. Last two go outs have resulted in clown induced near death experiences, What to do??? Have been contemplating heading up country to do some river SUP, plenty of water!! Or grabbing a kayak and reliving my youth. Used to paddle white water as a teen and went in a number of State Titles in both the slalom and down river divisions paddleing both kayaks and Canadians. Anyway, thought I would check out Youtube to see what the state of play is these days and came across these head cases. I know it runs for ten minutes but it is time well spent. Check out the volume of water these guys deal with and their paddle technique, were talking literally inches from disaster. If you can hang in till the end, hows the mega drop to air to granite slide. While it would be a certain death ticket on a SUP I dare you to watch it and not put yourself in the picture mind surf style.
Cheers

Nuts ! Pistachio Nuts. The best kind of nuts.

(bugger of a hold down at around 5.25, and yes rock slide at the end is crazy!)

the composure of these guys is unreal, upside down in a stopper getting the odd pop up for air. I would have pulled the skirt long before they even think about it.
